Monument to the Victims of Communism in Ottawa - Canada
Communist Sign the petition to support the building of a Monument to the Victims of Communism, in Ottawa, Canada

To: Parliament of Canada
While the horrors of Nazism are well known, who knows that the Soviet Union murdered 20 million people? Who knows that China's dictators have slaughtered an estimated 60 million? Who knows that the Communist holocaust has exacted a death toll surpassing that of all of the wars of the 20th century combined ? Just as we must grasp Communism's brutality, we must understand the true cause of this era's most significant event: the fall of the Soviet Union. While we believe that Vaclav Havel was right when he saw the fall of the Communist empire as an event on the same scale as the fall of the Roman Empire, it was not the end of Communism. Boycott of Greek products in Albania
Boycott of Greek products in Albania!

Albanian nationalists, who accuse Greece of turning the country into a non-conventional colony of Greece, are using the protest to halt the rising power of Greece in the country. In 2006 Greek Imports reached EUR 406mn, while Greek investments are estimated at over EUR 400mn. Greek companies and businesses own substantial shares in the telecommunication, petroleum and financial markets in the country. Strong protests were organized by the "Cham" population, ethnic Albanians that used to live in the territory of current Greece till the end of World War II. Afterwards, they forcedly expelled from their properties. Therefore we call on you to Boycott greek products in Albania

    Inside ACLIS:
  • Read & Listen the Transcripts of alleged telephone conversation between Efraim Diveroli and Kosta Trebicka

Recorded in Tirana, Albania on June 11, 2007 at 20:49 PM by Trebicka, Diveroli was in Florida*

    Name Key:
Efraim Diveroli – President of Miami-
Gerdec village, 20 km from Capital Tirana turned to a war zone, due to some heavy blasts of a dismantled ammunition factory, operating secretly and illegally by Albanian government
    based AEY, Inc.
Kosta Trebicka – Albanian businessman, owner of Xhoi
Ill Pinari – Director of Meico, official arms export agency of Albanian Ministry of Defense (under arrest)
Henry Thomet – Swiss businessman, alleged owner of Cyprus-based Evdin
Fatmir Mediu – Albanian Minister of Defense (resigned)
Mihal Delijorgji – Albanian “businessman” (contractor for AEY and Southern Ammunition, under arrest)
Sali Berisha – Albanian Prime Minister
Shkelzen Berisha – son of Sali Berisha

    Sound clip 1
Trebicka: What’s happening with your pal Pinari?
Diveroli: I don’t know, you tell me, did you make a deal with him with the boxes?
Trebicka: I don’t want to make a deal with him, you know that he is a crook, you told me before that he’s a mafia guy, didn’t you?
Diveroli: I think he is, either he’s the mafia or the mafia is controlling him. Either way he’s a problem. The problem is, I don’t have a choice. I have to deal with him. The U.S. government is expecting the products. I have no decision to make.

    Sound clip 2

Diveroli: What’s going on with the whole friggin’ thing here, …(inaudible conversation about Pinari….) OK, Kosta, the company that’s doing the packing might want to buy your packing material, I’m going to broker the deal…

Trebicka: Which one is the company, is it still Delijorgji?

Diverolli: I have no fucking idea, we’re waiting for Pinari to give us the details of this company. I will push this sale very hard to go through.

    Sound clip 3

Diveroli: ……….(Some talk about services Trebicka is still supposed to do for Diveroli.) I’ve been 100% with you. I did not remove you from this job. You understand that? I have nothing to do with this. Even though Pinari asked me to, and he’s forcing me to, I have never supported this decision. I’m very, very upset, I’m very concerned.

Trebicka: Is he still working with Henry Thomet?

Diveroli: I think he’s still working with Henry. I’m still working with Henry. I have to work with Henry. I’m working with Henry.

    Sound Clip 4

Diveroli: …I’m different than Henry, I can’t play monkey business with the mafia and Delijorgji and all those fucking guys in Albania….. I’m a U.S. company, I’m working for the government, everyone is watching me. Pinari needs a guy like Henry in the middle to take care of him and his buddies , which is none of my business. I don’t want to know about that business, I want to know about legitimate businesses. That’s my feeling, that’s my feeling on the situation, that’s my idea, that’s my opinion.

    Sound clip 5

Some small talk, discussion about George Bush visit to Albania…

Trebicka: ….but I think with Pinari and his mafia guys and Delijorgji and Henry, it will be difficult for you to go ahead because they will create lots of problems …. Probably I will be invited in Washington DC from the CIA guys and from my friends over there. .. two weeks from now I will come to Florida to shake hands with you and discuss future deals.

Diveroli: I like that. Let’s do that.

    Sound clip 6

Diveroli: I have a good deal going on in Serbia right now that I might need some financing for…. Kosta, Kosta, I have an idea, maybe, you could finish packing, for example, the two and half million you owe me. And Pinari and Delijorgji will see your operation is already moving smoothly and they’re not going to want to disrupt it, so they’ll buy the material from you. They don’t have to go around and drive to Macedonia and schlep around. Maybe this is a good idea, I think. Do you think Pinari is actually going to do the job?

    Sound clip 7

Trebicka: I found good partners and I think I can continue the job. I don’t know about Pinari, Delijorgji and his mafia…if they want to still work with me… I will not talk, I will not open mouth, I will do whatever you tell me to do.

Diveroli: I understand…. I’m just telling you… I protect you, you protect me type of thing. Let me speak with Pinari. Pinari knows he has to do the packaging. Because he’s removing you from your position, if he does not fill this position properly he’s going to be in a lot of trouble, from everybody. So maybe he’s going to get nervous that Delijorgji can’t do this job, whatever… This is the best case, this is my dream.

    Sound clip 8

Diveroli: Then we need to push the sale of the material… then at least you’re not exposed and I’m not exposed. No? It’s option A or option B at this time. We’re going into one door, we’re just not sure which one. Why don’t you kiss Pinari’s ass one more time right now. Call him up, beg him, kiss him, whatever… Send one of your girls to fuck him… Let’s get him happy. Maybe he gives you one more chance to do the job. No? Maybe he’s not organized, maybe he’s gonna get nervous – (speaking as if he’s Pinari) oh, you know if I don’t do the job then I’ll lose the ammunition business… Maybe we can play on his fears. Pinari, c’mon give me one more chance. Give him a little money, give him something in his pocket... And he’s not going to get much… If he gets $20,000 from you…

    Sound clip 9

Diveroli: I can live with this. Let me know tomorrow. ….. Let’s decide are we doing A or B? I’ll speak with Pinari, you’ll speak with Pinari, and we’ll make a decision… Then we’ll move to the next deal.

    Sound clip 10

Diveroli: The more, the more, it went up higher to the Prime Minister and his son. This is…this mafia is too strong for me. I can’t fight this mafia. It got too big. The animals just got too out of control. Too many players...

    Letter to Mr.Sali Berisha

    H.E. Prof. Dr. Sali Berisha
    Republic of Albania
    Tirana, Albania

    Your Excellency,

Below is a letter sent to Shekulli from your son in which he challenges allegations made by me. Also below is my response to Shekulli.

In Skelzen's letter he seems to suggest there is some hidden agenda behind my efforts to expose wrong doing by your government. Since I have
Sali Berisha called also "Prime Minister of Monstrosities"
no secrets in this regard and so there can be no doubt, let me explain my motives. In 1997, your government ignored warnings from numerous parties, including this writer, to bring an end to the pyramid schemes. Instead, you appeared on television with Vehbi Alimucaj declaring to the people of Albania their money was safe. The pyramids crumbled, chaos ensued, and Albania went up in flames resulting in death and destruction to thousands of people. At that time I promised myself I would never sit back and watch while another Albanian leader abused a nation of people who had already suffered so much under communism.

But several years passed and another evil fell upon Albania in the form of Fatos Nano. After you sent an emissary to see me in New York, we had a brief rapprochement due to our mutual interest in removing Nano from power. I asked for nothing except that you fight corruption and bring fairness and transparency to government functions, and I even volunteered my services free of charge to help achieve these goals. You promised Albanians you would investigate Fatos Nano and senior members of his government for their corrupt practices. You promised you would reverse the Albtelecom deal and bring an end to the biased telecom interconnection agreements that suck money from the pockets of Albanians every time they use their cell phones. You promised transparency, you promised open media, you promised many things, but since coming to power you have become a serial breaker of promises and you now preside over a government that is every bit as corrupt and morally bankrupt as the government of Fatos Nano. But to add insult to injury, with the explosion at Gerdec you have brought mass death and destruction to Albania once again.

One thing is indisputable, the location of the dangerous munitions demolition project at Gerdec in a densely populated area and the selection of the contractors, which included Milhal Delijorgji, was completely within your control. This represented a blatant lack of judgement that rivaled your disastrous handling of the pyramid crisis. As a result, you once again have the blood of Albanians dripping from you hands. In the best interest of Albanians, instead of reverting to your natural selfish and dictatorial nature, I suggest you immediately resign your office and voluntarily submit yourself to a full investigation to determine if there is validity to any of the allegations against your government for trafficking in illegal arms and your role in the avoidable tragedy at Gerdec.

    Sincerely,

    Gary Q. Kokalari

E verteta e akuzave ndaj meje

Letter from Shkelzen Berisha to Shekulli

Dje me dt 19/03/2007 ne dy te perditshme eshte botuar nje leter te nje individi te quajtur Gery Kokalari.

Letra servir nje zinxhir thashethemesh qe kushdo mund t’I tjerre per kedo dhe qe nuk mbeshteten ne asnje lloj prove.

Duke mos u zgjatur ne arsyet evidente qe shtyjne farketimin e shpifjeve ne keto dite fatkeqesie,
    Gerdec Blasts Map
deshiroj te informoj opinionin sa vijon :

Me pergjegjesi te plote ligjore deklaroj :

1 - Cdo pretendim apo aludim per perfshirjen time ne tregti te ligjshme apo te paligjshme armesh eshte I pavertete dhe perben shpifje.

    Me respekt,

    Shkelzen Berisha

About Letter from Shkelzen Berisha to Shekulli

    Z. Thano,

Interesting letter, but to be clear, I haven't stated that Shkelzen Berisha has done anything and perhaps he has done nothing. What I have done is refer to the allegations of Efraim Diveroli, the
Gary Q. Kokalari - Political Analyst
President of AEY, which were clearly stated in his conversation with Kosta Trebicka. So, I suggest Mr. Berisha carefully re-read the letter and take the matter up with Mr. Diveroli, and if Berisha is telling the truth, then this will all come out in the end - either in a court of law or in the court of public opinion or both. However, given the fact that I have been alerted to a scheme that, based on the comments of Diveroli, looks like it may have defrauded U.S. taxpayers, and given the fact that the President of AEY was acting on behalf of the U.S. government in what may constitute illegal shipments of ammunition, and given the fact that Diveroli insinuated that the deal went up to "the Prime Minister and his son", accordingly, I have an obligation to make sure that this matter is brought to the attention of the appropriate parties.

Also, given the death and destruction that was caused by Sali Berisha in 1997, as an ethnic Albanian, I have a duty to come forward to make sure that neither the Albanian government nor related parties are engaged in any form of impropriety that could potentially bring death and destruction to thousands of Albanians once again. Sadly, several days ago, hundreds of Albanians were again subjected to death and destruction at Gerdec. And the name Delijorgji, who was discussed by Diveroli and Trebicka in the recording in conjunction with the AEY deal, surfaced again in relation to the possible cause of this tragedy. So it should not be a surprise that I would want to get to the bottom of the allegations that have been made, including those that Diveroli claimed in a recorded conversation implicate "the Prime Minister and his son."

As a statement of fact, on March 15, 2008 there was an explosion at Gerdec that resulted in the loss of lives, injury and damage to hundreds of Albanians, and on that date Sali Berisha was Prime Minister of Albania. And while Sali Berisha served as Prime Minister, a contract was signed to sell ammunition from Albanian government stockpiles to AEY on behalf of the U.S. government. And while Sali Berisha served as Prime Minister, a contract was signed for Southern Ammunition, an American Company, to perform demolition of ammunition at a depot in Gerdec. And Milhal Delijorghi, who was recently arrested on charges stemming from the Gerdec explosion, served as a contractor for both of those transactions. And it is my understanding that Skelzen Berisha has been seen on numerous occasions in the company of both Milhal Delijorgji and Fatmir Mediu, so given all of the circumstances, it would be relevant to learn the nature of their relationship.

But Shkelzen Berisha's letter raises a question that, in my opinion, casts doubt on his explanation that he was not involved in any way. Because despite his claim that he was not responsible for setting up the meeting with Trebicka and had no involvement in this type of business, the question arises: why was Skelzen Berisha meeting with Trebicka at all? Perhaps he had nothing to do with this meeting and it was arranged by a third party, but time will tell. However, there is an old saying, "where there is smoke, there is fire." I hope that for the sake of his and his family's reputation that Skelzen and Sali Berisha have nothing to do with this deal. But if they do, then on behalf of the people of Albania, I will do everything possible to see that Sali Berisha is driven from power and that both father and son are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Thank you for your for sharing the letter from Mr. Berisha.

    Sincerely,
    Gary Q. Kokalari
