Monument to the Victims of Communism in Ottawa - Canada
Communist Sign the petition to support the building of a Monument to the Victims of Communism, in Ottawa, Canada

To: Parliament of Canada
While the horrors of Nazism are well known, who knows that the Soviet Union murdered 20 million people? Who knows that China's dictators have slaughtered an estimated 60 million? Who knows that the Communist holocaust has exacted a death toll surpassing that of all of the wars of the 20th century combined ? Just as we must grasp Communism's brutality, we must understand the true cause of this era's most significant event: the fall of the Soviet Union. While we believe that Vaclav Havel was right when he saw the fall of the Communist empire as an event on the same scale as the fall of the Roman Empire, it was not the end of Communism. Boycott of Greek products in Albania
Boycott of Greek products in Albania!

Albanian nationalists, who accuse Greece of turning the country into a non-conventional colony of Greece, are using the protest to halt the rising power of Greece in the country. In 2006 Greek Imports reached EUR 406mn, while Greek investments are estimated at over EUR 400mn. Greek companies and businesses own substantial shares in the telecommunication, petroleum and financial markets in the country. Strong protests were organized by the "Cham" population, ethnic Albanians that used to live in the territory of current Greece till the end of World War II. Afterwards, they forcedly expelled from their properties. Therefore we call on you to Boycott greek products in Albania

Albania News:

Yet Another Berisha Fraud

Posted on Sunday, October 11 @ 19:00:28 PDT by acl

Albania News
Sali Berisha's vote rigging is a serious setback for Albania's democratic process. But it should not have come as a surprise to anyone familiar with Berisha because it was just the latest in a long line of his many assaults on democratic institutions.
Gary Q. Kokalari - Political Analyst

    By Gary Q. Kokalari

As monitors reported, Albania's recent elections failed to meet international standards, and the fault for this failure falls squarely on Berisha's shoulders. This is because prior to the elections he controlled the levers of power that gave him the ability to hold elections that would have met international standards. But conducting fair elections was far less important to Berisha than maintaining power, and anyone who was hoping for clean elections had to be dreaming.

Vote rigging was just one of the many manipulations Berisha used to undermine Albania's fledgling democracy. No less of an abuse were Berisha's blatant efforts to intimidate the media and block free speech. With his heavy handed censorship of the media and his abuse of state assets, Berisha intentionally distorted the information disseminated to the public so that a large segment of eligible voters were unable to cast their votes with any degree of objectively.

Then there was the blatant deception surrounding the issue of gay marriage, the first legislation that Berisha tried to shove down the throats of Albanians. An issue like this was sure to be unpopular with a large segment of Albanian society, and this is exactly why Berisha intentionally waited until after the elections to drop this bombshell. This is because he knew that focusing on this issue during the campaign would have cost him the election. This should have been disclosed but it wasn't, and this constitutes a grand fraud because a material fact about Berisha's intentions was intentionally hidden from voters.

Sali Berisha called also "Prime Minister of Monstrosities"
We certainly cannot forget that Berisha blocked the prosecutor's efforts to investigate senior officials of his government like Fatmir Mediu and Lulzim Basha. Instead, by using a maneuver designed to help Mediu avoid the prosecutor's noose, Berisha rewarded Mediu with a post as Minister of the Environment. Berisha gladly paid this price to buy Mediu's silence on the Gerdec and AEY cases that could implicate the Berisha family. This was a blatant attack by Berisha, Mediu and Basha on the most basic principles of the rule of law.

Of course we can't ignore the grand deception that Ilir Meta and Dritan Prifti perpetrated upon their supporters in LSI. How many of their followers would have supported these maskarenj with their votes if they had disclosed that Meta intended to cut a deal with Sali Berisha? Or would LSI followers have supported Meta if they knew their "leader" was going to help create a government that favored homosexual marriage? And what about the funding for Meta's lavish spending over the years? Where did this para come from? Did it fall out of the same sky as the para Fatmir Mediu used to buy his $20,000 watches?

Albanians should recall that Berisha perpetrated a grand fraud during the elections in 2005 when he promised to pursue corrupt officials of the Nano government. Instead, he replaced one corrupt government with an even more corrupt government that makes Fatos Nano look like an amateur.

The people of Albania were the victims of a massive fraud perpetrated by Enver Hoxha over five decades. And over the past two decades they have been subjected to another grand fraud at the hands of one of Hoxha's most devoted deciples - Sali "Enver" Berisha.

As was suggested by Peter Finch's character in the 1976 movie "Network," Albanians should stand up and yell: "I'm mad as hell, and I'm not going to take this anymore!" Better yet, they should demand new and fair elections.

    Posht Enver Berisha!
