Monument to the Victims of Communism in Ottawa - Canada
Communist Sign the petition to support the building of a Monument to the Victims of Communism, in Ottawa, Canada

To: Parliament of Canada
While the horrors of Nazism are well known, who knows that the Soviet Union murdered 20 million people? Who knows that China's dictators have slaughtered an estimated 60 million? Who knows that the Communist holocaust has exacted a death toll surpassing that of all of the wars of the 20th century combined ? Just as we must grasp Communism's brutality, we must understand the true cause of this era's most significant event: the fall of the Soviet Union. While we believe that Vaclav Havel was right when he saw the fall of the Communist empire as an event on the same scale as the fall of the Roman Empire, it was not the end of Communism. Boycott of Greek products in Albania
Boycott of Greek products in Albania!

Albanian nationalists, who accuse Greece of turning the country into a non-conventional colony of Greece, are using the protest to halt the rising power of Greece in the country. In 2006 Greek Imports reached EUR 406mn, while Greek investments are estimated at over EUR 400mn. Greek companies and businesses own substantial shares in the telecommunication, petroleum and financial markets in the country. Strong protests were organized by the "Cham" population, ethnic Albanians that used to live in the territory of current Greece till the end of World War II. Afterwards, they forcedly expelled from their properties. Therefore we call on you to Boycott greek products in Albania

USA People:

Al Pacino - the Number 1 greatest movie star of all time

USA People
Alfredo James "Al" Pacino (born April 25, 1940) is an iconic Academy Award-winning American stage and film actor. He is considered one of the greatest actors of all film history, with a presence and
critical performance on screen that can perhaps only be matched by the likes of Marlon Brando and Robert De Niro. His performances in such classics as The Godfather and Dog Day Afternoon have solidified his legendary status.

Regarded by many to be one of the seminal actors of his generation, Pacino was born in The Bronx, New York to Italian American parents Salvatore Pacino (who was born in the Sicilian town of Corleone) and Rose Gerard (the daughter of an Italian-born father and a New York-born mother of Italian descent). His parents divorced while Pacino was still a child. His grandparents originated from Corleone, Sicily. His father Salvatore moved to Covina, California; working as insurance salesman, as well his own restaurant called Pacino's Lounge. As of today, business was slow and closed down in the early 90's, it's now called Citrus Grill. His father passed away on January 1, 2005 at the age of 82.

Senators Agree to Revive Immigration Bill

USA People
    Associated Press(AP)

WASHINGTON - Senate leaders reached a deal Thursday on reviving a broad immigration bill that could provide millions of illegal immigrants a chance to become American citizens and said they'll try to pass it before Memorial Day.
    White House

By Mrs. SUZANNE GAMBOA - Associated Press Writer

The agreement brokered by Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, R-Tenn., and Minority Harry Reid, D-Nev., breaks a political stalemate that has lingered for weeks while immigrants and their supporters held rallies, boycotts and protests to push for action.

Key to the agreement is who will be negotiating a compromise with the House, which last December passed an enforcement-only bill that would subject the estimated 11 million to 12 million illegal immigrants in the United States to felony charges as well as deportation.

Frist said the Senate will send 14 Republicans and 12 Democrats to negotiate with the House, with seven of the Republicans coming from the Judiciary Committee and seven of the Democrats chosen by Reid.

Protests in NYC about Immigration Reform

USA People

NEW YORK — Tens of thousands of immigrants and immigration reform advocates
April 1: Saturday brought a new round of protests in the debate about immigration as Congress prepares to take on the issue
marched over the Brooklyn Bridge and converged at Federal Plaza in lower Manhattan to call for immigration reform on April 1. The group shouted "Si se pueda!"—"Yes we can!" in Spanish—and speakers said they want to stop legislation that would make illegal (or "undocumented") immigrants federal-level criminals.
"The United States is a melting pot. A lot of these people have been here for years and they want to stay," said Janice Levinsky at the rally.
Levinsky's husband is an immigration lawyer who works toward getting immigrants visas and citizenship. Levinsky said that 90 percent of her husband's clients are Latinos from Mexico, Columbia and Ecuador.
"They're wonderful people—law-abiding, hard-working—who just want to support their families," she said.
The major legislation that people at the rally were opposing was H.R. 4437, The Border Protection, Antiterrorism, and Illegal Immigration Control Act of 2005. The bill is sponsored by Congressmen James Sensenbrenner (WI) and Peter King (NY) and would create a new federal crime of "unlawful presence" that would apply to undocumented immigrants.

Muhammad Ali - boxer, poet and philosopher

USA People

"There are many men that are affected by times in which they live but there are very few that actually shape them."

In the early 60s, boxing was in a moribund state. It was no more a sport, than a glorified
    Muhammad Ali
street brawl controlled by the mob. In such a bleak scenario, an American boxer appeared on the scene. Muhammad Ali with his flamboyant charisma transformed the dull game into a lively and popular sport and made it one of the greatest shows on earth.

Originally named Cassius Clay, he touched up the sport of boxing with the colors of his magic, charisma, revolutionary beliefs and a new style that went against many a sacrosanct teaching of this sport. He dominated the ring for over two decades and left the stage with a string of 56 victories, 37 by way of knockouts. The self proclaimed ‘Greatest of All Time’ proved to be a true champ by winning the World Heavyweight Boxing title thrice, which stands in his name in the history of boxing. A mix of both arrogance and charisma, he generated a wide range of emotions from those who loved and hated him. He fought for the rights of the Blacks all his life and is still fighting on with the same passion, as he fought in the ring.

A multifaceted personality, a symbol of Black Power, an entertainer, a preacher of Islam and the only ‘poet laureate’ sportsman in the world. Today, he is considered an idol, almost a demi-god. Ali is not in the ring today, but the game misses his powerful punches, jabs and a voice of confidence that sings.

Brad Pitt - forever young and succesful actor

USA People
This sensuously handsome blond actor emerged as one of the most
    Brad Pitt
celebrated screen sex symbols of 1990s Hollywood. Brad Pitt started out in TV guest spots (including a recurring role on the CBS primetime soap "Dallas" in 1987) that tended to capitalize on his wiry good looks. He co-starred in "Glory Days" (Fox, 1990), a short-lived drama about post-high school angst. Pitt entered features via the well-traveled low road, appearing in supporting roles in such standard teen fodder as slasher flicks, sex comedies and family-oriented sports dramas.

Pitt gained relatively instant stardom as the hitchhiking hunk--part charmer, part thief--who seduces Geena Davis in the female buddy movie, "Thelma & Louise" (1991).
