Monument to the Victims of Communism in Ottawa - Canada
Communist Sign the petition to support the building of a Monument to the Victims of Communism, in Ottawa, Canada

To: Parliament of Canada
While the horrors of Nazism are well known, who knows that the Soviet Union murdered 20 million people? Who knows that China's dictators have slaughtered an estimated 60 million? Who knows that the Communist holocaust has exacted a death toll surpassing that of all of the wars of the 20th century combined ? Just as we must grasp Communism's brutality, we must understand the true cause of this era's most significant event: the fall of the Soviet Union. While we believe that Vaclav Havel was right when he saw the fall of the Communist empire as an event on the same scale as the fall of the Roman Empire, it was not the end of Communism. Boycott of Greek products in Albania
Boycott of Greek products in Albania!

Albanian nationalists, who accuse Greece of turning the country into a non-conventional colony of Greece, are using the protest to halt the rising power of Greece in the country. In 2006 Greek Imports reached EUR 406mn, while Greek investments are estimated at over EUR 400mn. Greek companies and businesses own substantial shares in the telecommunication, petroleum and financial markets in the country. Strong protests were organized by the "Cham" population, ethnic Albanians that used to live in the territory of current Greece till the end of World War II. Afterwards, they forcedly expelled from their properties. Therefore we call on you to Boycott greek products in Albania

Canadian Economy:

Canadian dollar hits highest level

Canadian Economy

TORONTO: The Canadian dollar bounced to its highest level in a generation on Friday, revisiting
    Canadian Dollars
peaks last seen when the world’s first test tube baby was born in 1978, thanks to a resource-rich economy that is reaping the benefits of high commodity prices and rising interest rates.

The loonie so named for the waterfowl on the one dollar coin climbed to a 28-year peak on the back of a four-year rally that had seen it rise 40 percent against the greenback. Languishing at record lows just four short years ago, the Canadian dollar pushed past C$1.1193 to the US dollar, or 89.34 US cents, its best level since June 1978.

Its latest gains came as the greenback slumped to an 11-month low against the euro and retreated against other major currencies amid mixed US economic data and on the view that the US Federal Reserve may pause in raising interest rates. In contrast, the Bank of Canada raised rates for the sixth consecutive time this week and signaled that it was not done yet.

Toronto-based Fairmont (TSX:FHR) has agreed to be bought by Colony Capital and a Canadian firm owned by Kingdom Hotels International.

Kingdom is owned by Saudi Arabian Prince Alwaleed bin Talal Abdulaziz Alsaud, one of the richest men in the world.

Kingdom and Colony will pay $45 US per share in cash for Fairmont. Their bid is worth $3.9 billion US, including assumed debt. Kingdom already owns just less than 3.9 million Fairmont shares.

The board of directors of Fairmont has recommended that shareholders accept the Kingdom/Colony bid.

"This transaction is the ideal means of delivering significant, immediate value to the company's current shareholders while preserving this Canadian- based company and establishing a solid platform from which to grow," said Peter Godsoe, chairman of Fairmont's board of directors.
